Cardinal Park
The Cardinal Leisure Park in Ipswich was the first major development within the town since Lord Foster designed the Willis Faber Dumas building in 1970. The scheme was conceived as a complex of 1930’s Odeon style buildings with sweeping canopies and the bold use of colour lighting and Art Deco features. The scheme was also the first opportunity for MacDonalds to open a restaurant in the town but the planners insisted that they had have a purpose designed unit to fit into the concept of the development. The scheme comprised an 11 screen multiplex Cinema, a casino, Two nightclubs and and a food court comprising Ask Italian, Nando’s, Frankie & Benny’s, a TexMex, Harvester, KFC, MacDonald’s , Fayre and Square, Golden Dragon, Subways and Starbucks obviously!
There is also a 600 space Carpark
